CHICAGO (AP) — Police say a man stabbed and wounded another man during an argument near a parking area at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.
The stabbing happened early Wednesday and police say the men in their 50s were known to solicit passengers for cab rides at the airport. No airline passengers were involved.
Police say in a statement the men were arguing while on a walkway bridge from Terminal 5 and they rode an escalator to the ground parking lot level. Police say one of them pulled out a knife and stabbed the other in the abdomen. A nearby law enforcement officer called for help.
The wounded man, who tried to defend himself using a traffic safety cone, was taken to a hospital in stable condition. The other man was taken into custody.
