Jon Voight choked back tears talking about his appreciation for President Trump during an interview Sunday with Fox News host Mark Levin.

Appearing on “Life, Liberty & Levin,” the Oscar-winning actor recalled a moment he’d shared with a conservative actress on his flight. He said he asked the actress what she thought about “our man” in the White House, and she responded simply by placing her hand on her heart. Mr. Voight got choked up as he imitated the woman.

“That’s me crying,” he clarified. “The gesture was so beautiful, she couldn’t even speak. She was just saying, ‘Thank God.’ And I say, ‘Thank God.’”

Mr. Voight defended Mr. Trump’s record, accusing the liberals of “conjuring lies and slanders” to deflect from his many accomplishments.

“He’s actually doing what said he would do,” Mr. Voight said.

“This is their dying breath,” he said of the resistance. “They have to stop him somehow. So you see these very extraordinary things they come up with, that’s what they do.”
